Home Diagnostics Receives FDA Clearance For TRUE2go, TRUEresult No-Coding Blood Glucose Monitoring Systems

�Home Diagnostics, Inc. (NASDAQ:HDIX), a preeminent manufacturer and marketer of diabetes testing supplies, announced today that it received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the world's smallest blood glucose meter, TRUE2go�, and for TRUEresult�, the company's up-to-the-minute advanced performance, no-coding metre for at home testing.


Small enough to twist and attach to the top of a vial of test strips, TRUE2go offers patients the convenience of anywhere, on the go testing to help them better deal their diabetes. TRUEresult, the latest state of the art, high performance meter, offers patients advanced monitoring capabilities at an affordable monetary value. In clinical testing, both systems achieved a high gear degree of accuracy and repeatability, and were considered to be easy to use by people with diabetes.


Both new meters are compatible with the company's new TRUEtest platform of blood glucose test strips featuring the company's patent-pending, state of the art GoldSensor� laser accuracy and TRUEfill� beveled tip. These advanced features ensure highly accurate test results and first test success by allowing for greater sampling precision and consistency.


The new TRUE systems feature article no-coding technology that simplifies blood glucose testing by eliminating the need for users to code the meter with each new box of test strips. Both TRUE2go and TRUEresult deliver precise results in as fast as four-spot seconds victimization only 0.5 microliters of blood. The National, Menomena headline 'Co-ops Rock'

The National [ ] and Menomena [ ] are scheduled to perform at "Co-ops Rock," a Sept. 19 benefit concert at The Moore Theatre in Seattle, WA.

The show, which is being presented by the National Cooperative Grocers Association (a business services conjunctive for more than C consumer-owned intellectual nourishment co-ops placed throughout the US), also will feature videos and presentations from organic farmers impacted by floods all over the past year.

Proceeds from this first annual event will go to the Northcountry Cooperative Development Fund, which provides aid to Midwest farmers effected by this year's flooding, according to a press release.

U Totem was formed by members of 2 bands: drummer/composer David Kerman's 5UU's and bassist/composer James Grigsby's Motor Totemist Guild. These two groups were active in the Los Angeles area start in the early 1980s. The groups recorded their have albums before collaborating on the LPs Elements and Shapuno Zoo. In 1989 Kerman and Grigsby were invited to perform at the 2nd International Art Rock Festival in Frankfurt, Germany. They enlisted Motor Totemist Guild vocalist/flautist Emily Hay and 5UU's keyboardist Sanjay Kumar for the performance, and U Totem was officially born. Eric Johnson (bassoon/soprano sax) united for the recording on the band's self-titled debut saucer, and guitar player Steve Cade joined for the transcription of Strange Attractors.


U Totem's rock candy medicine has many influences, including Renaissance concerted music, twelve-tone serial music and Indonesian gamelan. The stripe has performed with Laotian and Cambodian musicians and appeared with such diverse artists as The Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Bill Frisell and Wayne Horvitz, and Michael Nyman.
